December 3, 2013 – CHIPLEY – The Washington County School Board chose the firm Perry-McCall Construction on Monday to provide management services overseeing the demolition and construction of the Vernon Elementary School project, scheduled to begin over Christmas break.

The board held a special meeting on Monday, Dec. 2 to hear from five competing firms who wanted the job of construction manager for the district. Each of the five firms was allowed to make a 20-minute presentation to the board, before the board members ranked the presentations and chose a provider.

The Jacksonville based firm was ranked first of the five competing firms.
