EMBRY-RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY – COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES BUILDING
Project: College of Arts & Sciences Building
Location: Daytona Beach, Florida
Owner: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
Construction Cost: $27.4 Million
Project Size: 140,000 SF
The newest addition to Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus began with the demolition of the oldest academic brick and mortar buildings on campus. In their place will be the new 4-1/2 story, College of Arts and Sciences Building. The building, designed by signature architect Leo Daly, consists of a structural steel frame with an exterior skin of curtain-wall and composite metal wall panels.
Designed in Revit®, this will be the first project on campus to take advantage of Building Information Modeling (BIM). Shop drawings and submittals are being handled 100% electronically, all elements of the model are being integrated for pre-construction coordination, and at the end of the project, the university will be furnished with a full-integrated, electronically generated as-built model
