The South campus of Baptist Health South occupies a 32-acre site on Old St. Augustine Road in southern Duval County. The campus includes a 225-bed hospital, an 18-bed emergency department, a 6-level parking garage, and two medical office buildings.
The referenced project involved build-out of the first floor of Medical Office Building 2 into a new Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The tenant improvement included all new partitions, finishes, and MEPF systems, including upgrades to the central energy plant to accommodate additional chilled water capacity.
The ASC features 2 Class “C” Operating Rooms, 2 Endoscopy Suites, 12 Pre/Post OP beds and a 5-bed Step-Down, or Fast-Track area.
