This project involved the expansion of the South Campus Regional Fire Training Facility including the construction of a Maritime Fire Training Prop, 4,200 square feet Support Building, and associated sitework. The Maritime Prop is a 8,192 square foot 4 story metal building with composite concrete slab floors. The support building consists of classrooms, locker rooms, restrooms, administrative office space, storage and outdoor covered training areas. The Maritime Prop is a mock-up of portions of a variety of ship types, with burn sites to simulate an engine room, galley, laundry, berthing compartment, shipping container and radiological fires.
