Perry-McCall Construction just removed the 2,400 sf Ft. Clinch concrete pier, the longest fishing pier into the ocean on the eastern seaboard, by use of tug boats, cranes, and barges.  Multiple obstacles were faced such as mid-stream shifting sand, beach turtle nesting season beginning just weeks into the project, high wind speeds, and weather and ocean front tides occurring every six hours.  There were only a few hours each day that both water and land equipment could work together to remove the portion of the pier on the beach.  Construction was completed on schedule in mid-June.
